Originally founded in 1983 the firm was entitled Corbett and Jessop Lawyers. The partnership was between Michael Corbett and Paul Jessop who attended school together from kindergarten to the completion of their Higher School Certificate.

Michael and Paul then completed their Law and Commerce degrees at the University of New South Wales before entering into partnership. They have now been in partnership for over 36 years.

Haydon Fowler Corbett Jessop was established in 1989 with the amalgamation of the three local firms, Haydon & Haydon, Peter G Fowler & Associates and Corbett and Jessop. Haydon & Haydon and Corbett and Jessop had direct proprietary links to the first firms ever established in the Sutherland Shire.

Mr Haydon left the firm in 1991 to pursue other interests outside the law. Glenda McNee then joined the firm and has remained with the firm as a Senior Associate, and now Consultant. Jenna Lincoln was made an Associate Lawyer to the firm in 2017 and has 7 years’ experience. Peter Fowler left the firm in 2015 and now practises as a barrister. Henry Rodgers commenced work with the firm in 2015. Henry has some 37 years’ experience and also holds degrees in Law and Commerce from the University of New South Wales. The collective experience of the two partners exceeds 75 years and the three employed lawyers have collective experience in excess of 75 years.

There is and has been a standard of advice available which one might expect at major CBD law firms without the inconvenience of attending the city or paying city fees. The fact that four of our lawyers also hold Commerce degrees is especially beneficial to our business clients.
